Birds and some other ... with 300mm f4 ED PF

Since the 1st of april I am officially retired. A bit sooner then originally planned maybe, but I hope to enjoy my free time as much as possible. With my first pension money received I bought a new and for me rather expensive telelens. The Nikon AF-S 300mm f/4.0E VR ED PF.

Here are my first results with that lens. I used the lens with my D600 FF, D300 and D5300 DX. Also I used the lens in combination with my TC17EII. 300mm on DX with 1.7x extender makes this a ~750mm equivalent f/7 lens :-) , but that combination is sometimes hard to handhold even with VR. Also autofocus is not always accurate. With some exercise I will learn the limitations, I guess.
