It is rather easy to shoot images in panorama mode these days. The camera can do most of the work when you are satisfied with a jpeg-only. The Sony RX100M4 gives me good images when the light is not too difficult. This series of Gouda shows some examples. Image 3 is a partial crop of a panorama shot. With a sunset shot like this the contrasts can become too high in the extreme edges due to the very wide angle.

It is even more easy to shoot a single shot with an extreme wide angle lens, the Nikon 20mm f1.8, on a full frame camera like my Nikon D600 and crop it into a panorama as exemplified by the last image #5.
